    1928

    Dr. David H. Keller.
He was a psychiatrist, who also served in the military, and reportedly working in the field of shell-shocked (now PTSD) after WWI. But what is generally not known is that he also was a prolific science fiction writer   - of short stories and novels, under several pseudonyms-
Monk Smith, Matthew Smith, Amy Worth, Henry Ceceillia
    Henry and Jacobus Hubelaire
    l,
    C. He also wrote fantasy and horror fiction - and was published in pulp magazines like "
    Amazing Stories"
    and "
    Weird Stories
." He was likely the first psychiatrist to write Sci Fi in the1920s and '30s.
