Adolf (1862-1937) engaged in many business enterprises with his brothers in Colorado. He also owned & operated the Unfug Hardware Store in Walsenburg, which he eventually sold to his son, F William Unfug. Adolph was a Colorado State Senator in 1931-33.
Obituary from the newspaper Walsenburg World Independent:
Adolf Unfug was one of a number of brothers who came to Walsenburg from Bielfield, Westphalia, Germany. All of the Unfug brothers were closely connected with the growth and development of Huerfano County. The five brothers who settled in Walsenburg were Charles Otto, Conrad, August, Adolph, and Frederick A.H. A sixth brother, William Unfug, settled at Oakland, California. The Unfug brothers were born at Bielfield, Westphalia, Germany.
