    Description

    From the hometown of Buddy Holly comes 1960s Famus Mandolin
    Decade manufactured presumably 1960s. Built in the heart of Bavaria West Germany. Mid-century Western Europe production. tailpiece on the instrument is beautifully preserved with minor rust spots.  Heres some info I found on the internet… Fancy variety Mandolins The choice of products Framus had in the fifties and seventies included many flat, Portuguese half round, and Italian round mandolins, also precious archtop variants, a small mando-guitar like mandolas and mandriolas. A real rarity today would be the early Framus Black Rose Baby and the fancy-looking Black Rose Baby De Luxe mandolin.
    Specifications: 8-string halfround mandolin, bottom & sides Maple (coloured stain) Maple or mahogany neck with scale board insert, 19 ribs, well defined side-binding, Ebony fingerboard floral inlay irregularly shaped. Missing strings, etc., has broken neck, scratches, scuffs, crazing, one dent at least, in need of restoration. vintage, sold as-is for parts only not working condition.
