ANTIQUE SEARS SUPERTONE MANDOLIN WITH ABALONE ART DECO BUTTERFLY INLAY
Up for auction is an antique Supertone mandolin from Sears & Roebuck.  This gorgeous instrument features extensive abalone inlay.  In addition to the abalone accents around the body and in the neck,  there is a delicate inlay around the sound hole featuring a deco style butterfly.  Due to it's age, this instrument has sustained significant damage.  There are cracks in the head (picture five) and the back of the body has begun to come away from the sides.  Whether it's to keep it for display or repair with a skilled luthier,  this mandolin is a worthy addition to any collection.  The Mandolin is 24" long and 9" wide at the body. You will also see it still has its original label inside.
This is a USED instrument that is UNTESTED. We do not have the experience to say what kind of play quality this instrument may have. We do recommend that all used instruments be fully cleaned and serviced prior to use. Change the pads (where applicable).

All items sold within the state of Idaho will include a 6% state sales tax on the invoice.
Local pick-up at our Boise, Idaho main facility is available for all items at no cost.
