    Offered is a copyright dated 1923, 27pp. paper wrapper booklet issued by the Hartman Trunk Company to show its wealthy consumers how to arrange upper-class attire in its wardrobe trunks. It features a great orange and black deco illustration of a woman in boots and with a riding crop or cane or parasol handle in the vicinity of her Hartman’s wardrobe. The booklet has detailed descriptions, drawings and photo-illustrations of the wardrobe’s shoe box, drawers, hangers, electric iron holder, ladies hat drawer, dust curtain, laundry bags, places for canes and umbrellas, drawer appointments, retainer bar, princess hanger etc. Photographs show how to properly hang wraps, overcoats, suits, evening clothes, dresses etc. in the wardrobe. “A riding habit or golf togs may be carried conveniently in the back of the garment section”. There is a checklist of items not to forget. It includes for men: evening  clothes, gloves, suspenders, spats, top coat, overcoat, cigarette case, studs, garters, and watch fob. For women: veils, boudoir caps, riding habit, jewel box, vanity cases, kimono, night-robes, stationery, and address book.
