Booklet, folding map (sheet 13 x 11 1/2 inches) tipped in to rear cover, illustrated throughout with black and white photo illustrations, 30pp, 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches, color pictorial paper wrappers. Wear and light soiling to covers, few short edge tears; interior very good condition. A most attractively produced and uncommon booklet promoting tourism (along the Peking - Mukden line of China railways) to "Peping (Peking), until recently the capital of the country since the days of Kublai Khan." In addition to a discussion of tourist sights, there is a brief shopping guide listing shops noted on the folding map of Peiping(including two sources for photographs), a typical Chinese menu, and useful Chinese expressions.
