There is a small divot of some kind within the side edge of the hexagonal bottom, the side at the top of the last photograph. You can just barely see it; it doesn't look like a chip but it feels a little rough. Given the weird position and odd crescent shape, it may be a manufacturing defect?

    Description

    This PYREX® 3046 graduated cylinder is calibrated for a given temperature, 20 °C (TC). The scale and large volume markings are durable white enamel, easy to read against the red color band, allowing accurate liquid measurements. A bead of glass near the top reinforces it and helps to reduce breakage, if the cylinder tips.
