    Description

    Steel and America
Donald Duck Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1965).
This is an original hand-painted production animation cel of Donald Duck used during the production of "Steel and America", 1965, Walt Disney Studios.  With original Disneyland label sticker on the back.  The mat opening is approximately 10"x8".
    Steel and America
is an educational short subject film released in May 1965. It was produced by Walt Disney for the American Iron and Steel Institute and released on 16mm. The film was directed by Les Clark and combined animation and live action.
    Steel and America
traces the history of the industry and follows the manufacturing process from iron ore to finished product. Donald Duck appears in the film as a steelworker. From
    Steel and America
we have a great image of Donald Duck using his sword to cut a log in half.
This cel is in the original packaging as purchased by my parents in the 60s, it was tucked away until we packed up the family home to move.
The plastic protective covering is intact, however the cel does show some signs of wear.  Paint cracking and what looks like a piece missing from the paint in the log (as shown in the photos).
