Description
HERE IS A VERY SPECIAL PURPOSE BUILT FORD C4 C-4 TRANSMISSION FOR DRAG RACING OR PRO STREET. THIS TRANS WILL STAND UP TO 750 HP . OPTIONAL TRANSBRAKE AVAILABLE . CAN BE BUILT TO HANDLE AS MUCH AS 900 HP WITH OPTIONS.THE ONE IN PIC IS A PAN FILL BUT I DO HAVE SOME CASE FILL C4 AVAILABLE ALSO . PLEASE CONTACT ME PRIOR TO BIDDING TO MAKE SURE I HAVE THE CORRECT VERSION FOR YOUR APPLICATION. THIS TRANS HAS BEEN ASSEMBLED AS IF IT WERE FOR MY OWN RACE CAR AND IS HAND BUILT ONE AT A TIME. IT HAS BEEN 100%AIR TESTED AND PRE-LUBRICATED GEAR TRAIN COMPONENTS WITH FORD TYPE F FLUID. THIS TRANS HAS ZERO MILES SINCE REBUILD AND HAS NOT BEEN INSTALLED .
THE PLANET GEARS/HUBS HAVE BEEN MACHINED FOR TORRINGTON NEEDLE BEARINGS BOTH FRONT AND REAR .
THE FORWARD DRUM HAS BEEN STRENGHTENED (WELDED) AND ALSO USES A TORRINGTON NEEDLE BEARING .
WHICH MEANS LESS FRICTION TO ROTATE PARTS AND ADDS MORE TORQUE CAPABILITY. ALL THIS TRANSLATES INTO QUICKER ET'S AND MORE RELIABILTY.
THE SUNSHELL HAS BEEN LIGHTENED AS HAS THE DIRECT DRUM . THE SUNSHELL IS NOW A FULL 10 OZ LIGHTER THEN AN UNMODIFIED SHELL.
NEW SPRAG SPRING/ROLLER KIT HAS BEEN INSTALLED.
A NEW NUMBER NINE NEEDLE BEARING KIT IS NOW INCLUDED IN ALL RACE C4 TRANSMISSIONS. OPTIONAL ON STREET MODELS.
IT HAS BEEN UPGRADED WITH SPECIAL MODIFIED DIRECT CLUTCH PISTON. EXTRA CLUTCHES IN THE DIRECT DRUM TO HOLD A TOTAL OF 5 RED EAGLE FRICTIONS THAT ARE LARGER DIAMETER THEN STOCK C4 CLUTCHES FOR AN INCREASE IN TORQUE CAPACITY.

IT HAS A NEW RAYBESTOS PRO SERIES FLEX BAND INSTALLED, A
BILLET ALUMINUM SONNAX C RATIO SERVO IS INCLUDED.
NEW REVERSE SERVO PISTON AND BAND.
THE INPUT SHAFT HAS BEEN UPGRADED TO A BILLET STEEL UNIT MADE FROM 300M.
THERE IS ALSO A DEEP CAST ALUMINUM PAN THAT HAS A FITTING FOR DIPSTICK TUBE ( DIPSTICK AND TUBE NOT INCLUDED ).
BUT CAN BE ADDED FOR 66.00
THE VALVE BODY IS FULL MANUAL REVERSE PATTERN 71 UP CASTING SPECIALLY MODIFIED TO PROIVIDE HIGHER LINE PRESSURES ASSURING YOU OF LIGHTNING QUICK SHIFTS. FEATURES NO GEAR BREAKING IN FIRST GEAR TO HELP WITH QUICKER 60 FT TIMES.
THE FACTORY SHIFTER LINKAGE HAS BEEN CUT OFF AND WELDED CLOSED FOR A NO LEAK SHAFT AND FOR EASY INSTALLATION OF AN AFTERMARKET CABLE OPERATED SHIFTER ARM SUCH AS HURST ETC.
I DO HAVE STOCK FORD SMALL BLOCK BELLHOUSINGS AVAILABLE FOR THIS IN 157 OR 164 TOOTH , BUT ARE NOT INCLUDED. PLEASE CONTACT FOR TOTAL PRICE AS A PACKAGE.
