It is best to use  plastic rather than glass labware whenever possible. Plastic is not for everyone but for many, plastic, relative to glass, has no "downside" but offers the user a substantial safety benefit when holding the cylinder by the specially fabricated "handle".

These large capacity polypropylene graduated cylinders feature a convenient handle to make pouring safer and more convenient. Ascending and descending graduations are accurate and easy to read and the large hexagonal base prevents tipping. Cylinders are steam autoclavable to 121°C (250°F).

The one piece polypropylene cylinder will absolutely not create a meniscus. The "Total Contained, Total Delivered" double scale is accurate and easy to read and the hexagonal base makes the cylinder much more resistant to tipping and rolling.
