This is an original "The Good Lord Bird" Showtime Colonel Lewis Washington Painting Prop.
"The Good Lord Bird" was based on James McBride's best selling book with the same title.
The series stars Ethan Hawke as John Brown, Joshua Caleb Johnson as Onion, Daveed Diggs as Frederick Douglass.
The painting is from the Colonel Lewis Washington taken hostage scene.
The show was filmed in and around Richmond, Virginia.
The Painting was purchased at the prop warehouse auction held January 20, 2020.
This is a great piece of television history from the "Good Lord Bird".
Painting comes with a COA.
Painting measures approximately 17 inches by 23 inches.
