    Mandolin w Bowlback - Antique – c1900 - PROJECT
    Rosewood bowl, ebony board and bridge, mahogany neck.  Much of the finish appears original - and alligatored.
    Attractive pickguard inlay; appears secure.
    Pearl dots in the ebony board.
    Original tuners.
    Strings are ancient and incomplete.
    Tailpiece with Patent date of Oct 26 1886.
    Original cloth covered case (badly deteriorated).
    Quality instrument that likely dates to c 1900….
    But… in need of restoration…
