Portland, OR. Montgomery Ward & Co., 1927
    Description:

Information on the front cover touts "Ward's Fifty-Fifth Anniversary," while page one announces "Helping Western Industry: Made in the West." A color map depicts Wards west-coast locations (Spokane, Boise, Portland, Oakland, Los Angeles) and an extensive list of products is headlined "What We Buy In The West." Reproduced are letters from the Chambers of Commerce of Seattle, Portland, Oakland and Los Angeles praising the firm for its plan to "encourage the largest possible buy of Western made goods." In sum: a 450 pp cornucopia of period consumer goods collected between two pictorial covers.
