Pamphlet, 9 x 4 inches, unfolding to three-color map, sheet size 18 x 23 1/2 inches, text and black and white photo illustrations on verso. One panel is split vertically at a fold (partially mended with tape), a few other splits; good condition. An interesting publication celebrating the Lake Superior International Highway with its extraordinary scenery: "From Duluth to Port Arthur, it is 200 miles by the Lake Superior International Highway - a comfortable day's run for conservative drivers..." The map is divided horizontally into two parts: the route from Duluth to Lutsen in the upper area and the route from Cascade to Hydro in the lower section. Black and white vignette illustrations highlight the noteworthy spots along the routes such as the Highway itself, Splitrock Lighthouse and Kakabeka Falls. Flowery descriptions on the verso call the reader to "Come to the Canadian Twin Cities" "In the Land of Romance." "Naniboujou Club," opened in 1929, is located on the map; the club was put out.
