Negative - Atlantic Coast Line Railroad EMD E-7 Diesel Unit No. 533

Description

Up for bids is an original black and white photographic negative of Atlantic Coast Line Railroad EMD E-7 diesel unit No. 533.  The view is a left 3/4 shot of the unit taken at an unknown location and date, probably circa 1958.  The identity of the photographer is unknown.  The ACL began its shift from the purple-and-silver livery to the black and yellow scheme in September of 1957 and two of the three units shown in this photo still wear the former colors.  The negative measures approximately 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches, is well composed and properly exposed.  The focus is uneven, the 533 being in sharp focus but the focus on the unit trailing being somewhat soft.   Still a nice shot that should make fine prints.
