Negative - Steinway Lines Electric Trolley Car No. 535

Description

Up for bids is an original black and white photographic negative of Steinway Lines electric trolley car No. 535.  The view is a 3/4 (almost broadside) shot of the car taken at Woodside (?), in the street, with both poles up, on a rainy day some time in 1939.  (I am reading from the notes on the jacket and they are not always legible, so I stand to be corrected.)  The identity of the photographer is unknown.  This is a post card size negative (approximately 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches,) is well composed, properly exposed (if a bit thin,) and in sharp focus.  Really nice shot that should make excellent prints.
