Pasquale Di Santo Made in 1903 Bowl Back Italian Old Mandolin
Pasquale Di Santo, a high-ranking younger brother of the mandolin master Vinaccia, is a very good instrument of the original model made in 1903.
Although it is a low-end model as a model, the front plate and ribs (15 sheets) on the back side are also robust and in a beautiful state, the neck is straight and there are no repair marks.
Probably this condition is really rare after more than 100 years.
And anyway, it sounds good with a dry sound.
If it is a song without high positive, you can enjoy it as it is, but if you want to enjoy the ensemble, it is best to replace the fingerboard that can be played up to high positive and replace the bridge that matches the height of the fingerboard.
The pegs have some stiff strings, but it looks there is no problem with tuning.
As shown in the photo, there are # stamps and initial marks (digging) on the back of the head. See image #5
There is discoloration on the metal parts.
There are minor marks on the body surface.
Please inspect images for condition reference.
