    Description

For bid is an original, rare 1928-1929 Saint Francis Hotel, Union Square, San Francisco, California CREDIT CARD issued to a man named Jefferson E. Peyser of the Mills Building, SF.  Card has some simple, printed rules.  It's printed with blue and black inks.  Issued per James H. McCabe, Manager of the hotel.  Card is numbered A 2060 on the back with an expiration date of September 17, 1929.  Mr. Peyser signed the back in fountain pen ink.
I think Mr. Peyser was a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.  He may have used this card in that role.
Card is printed on relatively thin paper.  It's in very good condition with rounded corners.  Some slight moisture exposure areas on the edges (show up as brown spots).  Card is in decent overall condition
Very rare to find a "credit card" this old.  Long before plastic credit cards.
