Description
There were two kind of prop torches used on season 1 of Sleepy Hollow; some were meant for quick shots where they would pour a slow burning flammableconcoction on the felt top and light it, the others were meant for longer shots where a fuel source was attached to a bit of copper tubing that was lined inside
of a groove in the wooden shaft and had holes punched into the tubing under the felt. This is one of the latter type of torches, the kind that had a bit of
copper tubing running inside a groove cut into a tree limb.
This piece was made for and used on the tv show Sleepy Hollow, and according to Dave Beavis, might have also been used on the tv show Revolution.
Dave Beavis was the special effects coordinator on both series, and this piece came directly from his shop.
The shaft measures about 32 inches long, not including the tubing.
