What makes this mandolin special: An absolutely fantastic playing mandolin with a loud, bright & powerful tone that projects superbly well. The solid spruce top combined with the mahogany back & sides makes for the perfect combination of tone woods to come together & produce one of the most beautiful sounding mandolins.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition - very clean overall with only one mild crack in the grain.
Neck: Mahogany neck with 16" radius ebony fingerboard, a 14” scale length with mother of pearl dot inlays and 1.125” nut width. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Open-back strip tuners are in perfect working condition except for the missing peg key.
Body: Solid spruce top with offset soundhole & clear pickguard. The soundhole is placed in a low vibration area. This way the hole does not hinder sound & the area that would normally be just a vent in the top is now contributing to the tone & volume of the mandolin. The one piece solid steel tailpiece is sturdy, simple & makes it very easy to change strings. Solid ebony bridge & black hardware. Solid mahogany back & sides. Mandolin weighs 2 lbs 6.8 oz. There are no electronics.
Hardshell case included.
