TREP Milk Bottle F H Witt Dairy Farm Wilmette IL COOK COUNTY VERY RARE VERY OLD
Here is a nice tall round embossed pint milk bottle from the F. H. Witt Dairy Farm dairy farm that once was operated by Mr. F. H. Witt and his family and located in historic Wilmette ILL IL Illinois in Cook Co. County IL.   Front says, "F. H. Witt".   This authentic milk bottle is in excellent condition with no cracks, dings, chips, or casewear.   A nice addition for the collector of Wilmette IL Illinois or Cook Co. County IL milk bottles.  I have been told that this is a hard to find milk bottle from Wilmette IL.  Mr. F. H. Witt had a herd of Jersey cows.

F. H. Witt began the dairy in east Wilmette in 1880, and from 1895 to1902, according to family records, he rented barns for about 100 cows and five delivery wagons on the Peter M. Hoffman farm, located on Lake Avenue at Harms Road. The family also lived on the farm, and two of his children appear in this photograph, son Fred (on roof) and daughter Anna. Later, the farm became the Wilmette Park District's golf course. Similar to B396 (filed under Transportation - Horses)
