Handmade in Bozeman, MT by Backporch Productions, this 2M model features absolutely stunning flame figuring in the back & sides of the body. Combined with a solid spruce top, it projects a robust & powerful voice capable of filling any room! Exceptionally comfortable & a real joy to play thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Various minor nicks, dents & dings; scratches, pick wear & some mild weather checking. Overall the mandolin is in great shape & has an ultra cool vibe to it.
Neck: Mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard and mother of pearl dot & cross inlays. Frets show some wear, but still have plenty of life in them. Rosewood headstock veneer with The Flatiron pressed into the back. Open-gear strip tuners work great. 1 1/18" nut width; 14" scale length.
Body: Round body shape with round soundhole. Solid spruce top with black binding. Nickel "shell" tailpiece with compensated ebony bridge. Solid flame maple back & sides. There are no electronics & the mandolin weighs 1 lbs 10.3 oz.
