Vintage Reiter and Harter All Star Dairies Half Gallon Milk Bottle Akron Ohio OH.
Half gallon Reiter and Harter All Star Dairy bottle.
Bottle stands 10 inches tall and has red and blue pyroglaze.
There are no chips or cracks. Pyro is a little faded but still complete. Pretty clean bottle in nice shape. See pics.
A little company history:
The company sold products under the trade name of Reiter and Harter All-Star Dairy. Ralph Reiter founded Reiter Dairy in 1933; Fred Harter founded the Bell Isle in 1934.
Reiter Dairy and Belle Isle Farm merged in 1954.
The company name changed to Reiter Foods in 1969.  After expansion in the 1980s, Reiter Foods was Ohio's largest dairy. Dean Foods of Dallas acquired Reiter Foods in the 1980s. The Barberton plant closed in early 2005.
