    Description

Wild Heerbrugg - Kern Instruments PUG4 Point transfer drill bits-Photogrammetry. Condition is "Used". These high precision miniature drill bits were used in a special aerial photogrammetry application to place very tiny holes in the emulsion of aerial film for use in transferring terrain points between 3D stereoscopic photographs in a process called aerotriangulation. The chisel type point would drill a small spec in the film that was approximately 60 microns wide when inserted into what was known as a point transfer device. They could be used for a similar application, or kept as a nostalgic piece of history in the field of Photogrammetry.
This set contains 2 (two) units.
The "key" and coin as pictured are not included in the sale, but help to reveal the approximate size of the drill bits, which are approximately 1-1/4" long and about 1/4' of an inch in diameter.
Sales outside of Continental USA will require a customized cost for shipping, depending on location.
