The Kentucky mandolin was born when young Richard Kelsen, a banjo instructor at a musical instrument store in San Francisco, California, decided in the 1970s to make a good, affordable mandolin for a young blue glasser.
The KM-656 is an F model mandolin recommended for young pickers who are just starting out with bluegrass mandolins.
The body made by carving like a violin produces a powerful sound.
You can enjoy well-balanced sounds such as lead playing and rhythm playing.
It has a trans brown color.
Unused. Mint condition.
Hard to see hairlines or scratches.
